1 Second to Midnight - Operation Blue Skies

US Destroyer Squadron 12 and Submarine Squadron 9 are conducting routine patrols in the Baltic Sea. Denmark and Sweden have officially left NATO, taking the world by storm. Denmark has declared overt ties to the USSR and blocked the Danish straits, stranding DESRON 12 and SUBRON 9 in the middle of the Baltic with a Soviet fleet hot on their heels.

Meanwhile, Sweden remains nominally neutral, declaring that any military incursion into their sea territory will bring a swift and strike reprisal. NAVEUR Command has given you control of the Iowa in Task Force 2 and several scrambled assets from Germany and Norway.

Your mission is to break through the Danish blockade and extract DESRON 12 and SUBRON 9 to Nordic shores, preserving peace with Sweden if possible.
