ES Raven Class Mk 2 -LB Strikers

The 2nd iteration of EuroSpace's Raven Class greatly expands and improves the series of small "striker" vessels which are made to be easily upgradable, safe all-round starter ships. The "jack of all trades" package of shields, point defense, speed and maneuverability defines the ship class, although at the cost of limited firepower. While the fighter sized ships form a linear upgrade path, the corvettes of the class differentiate in focus of different combat aspects. However, they all excel as early solo-ships or can be used as escorts. Backed up by a dedicated supply ship (such as the Magpie Class Mk II -> https://psteamcommunity.yuanyoumao.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3365107409 ), they can complete virtually any mission in low hazard systems.


#1 FIGHTERS:

ES Raven Mk II-A0:
The A0 version's cost was driven low enough to be available even on a "shipwright" budget while still retaining a tool for most situations.

ES Raven Mk II-A1:
The A1 upgrade serves as an intermediate stop on the path to the feature complete A2. It adds back in some of the stripped features stripped from the cheaper A0 version.

ES Raven Mk II-A2:
The Raven Mk II-A2 completes the all-round design of the striker, adding armor, 2 Laser Blasters, strafing thrust, more forward thrust, as well as 2 Capacitors to relieve the strained small reactor of propulsion draw.

ES Raven Mk II-A3:
The Raven Mk II-A3 replaces the two Medium Thrusters per side for a Large Thruster which trades higher speed for negligibly slower acceleration.

ES Raven Mk II-A4:
The A4 version is an optional upgrade over the A3, introducing Boost Thrusters that can accelerate the small craft to exceedingly high speeds in just a few seconds. However, lacking an Engine Room they will remain unpowered afterwards for longer than usual.

ES Raven Mk II-A5:
The A5 variant resembles the A3, but has more armor and faster fire extinguisher response times.

The A6 variant resembles the A4, but has more armor and faster fire extinguisher response times.

#2 CORVETTES:

ES Raven Mk II-B1:
The B-variants of the Ravens are essentially larger versions of the A-variant, adding more armor, double the frontal point defense, an extra shield, another Disruptor, more thrust, as well as introducing a jump drive to the class.

ES Raven Mk II-B2:
The B2 exchanges the B1's frontal point defense for 2 Boost Thrusters.
Speed - 85m/s (boost ~107m/s), Crew - 22, Cost: ~170.000,-

ES Raven Mk II-B3:
The B3 upgrades the 4 Thrusters of the B1 & 2 to 2 Huge Thrusters which sacrifice a lot of acceleration for higher consistent speed.

ES Raven Mk II-C1:
The C-variants of the Raven Class Mk II focus on their ability to orbit opponents with a forward facing weapon layout that allows for better firing arcs but sacrifices frontal armor.

ES Raven Mk II-C2:
The C2 exchanges the C1's frontal point defense for 2 Boost Thrusters.

The C3 upgrades the 4 Thrusters of the C1 & 2 to 2 Huge Thrusters which sacrifice a lot of acceleration for higher consistent speed.

ES Raven Mk II-X1:
The X-variants utilize a diagonal grid structure to maximize defensive capabilities and weapon aiming arcs at the cost of their ability to strafe or orbit effectively. 4 shields, 360° point defense coverage and a good amount of armor make head-on assaults possible.

The X2 upgrades the 4 Thrusters of the X1 to 2 Huge Thrusters which sacrifice a lot of acceleration for higher consistent speed.
