Sokol Class Carrier

The Sokol class aircraft carrier was designed to provide a flexible flagship for the Eastern Pact navy. While the flight deck does not carry a huge complement of aircraft the ship itself offers a powerful weapons payload. Essentially combining a heavy missile cruiser with a carrier.

Offensive Weapons -
2x Ugor anti-submarine missiles
8x Kogot anti-ship missiles
2x Blokha twin 76mm flak cannons
4x Vorobey surface to air missiles
4x Krot surface to air missiles
10x Rybak torpedoes
2x Krakov-M dual purpose CIWS mounts

Defensive Weapons-
4x Galka anti-torpedo launchers
6x Bazov CIWS mounts


“During the first mass exodus, after almost the entire Union Navy was destroyed, the remaining vessels of the fleet found themselves constantly harried by air attacks.
The only carrier the navy had previously fielded was the defunct supremacy class, only one had ever been constructed and it had been decommissioned years prior to the conflict due to excessive maintenance and operating costs.

As another wave of enemy aircraft were detected on an intercept course the commander was about to declare a surrender. However this plan was interrupted by the timely arrival of naval vessels from the Eastern Pact, a battlegroup led by the newly designed and constructed flagship of their fleet a Sokol class aircraft carrier: The Premier

The Sokol Class is a carrier/cruiser hybrid inspired by the Soviet Kiev class carriers and is my largest and most well decorated project to date and has docking slots for six aircraft located in the ships internal hangar.
