描述
INTRODUCTION

This mod changes the entire look of the game to offer a visual alternative to Vanilla.

Here the main features:



-New 4K real life scan terrain textures for all terrain types.

-Revisited Scaling: changed the size of most buildings and units to look more realistic.

(Ex: soldiers are smaller, cities, ruins, forests are bigger, etc.)

-Lighting Overhaul: Tweaked the Lighting to have more natural colors and less colored fog, added many light sources, now most units have flashlights\spotlights, many buildings and features cast lights and night-time has been made darker to accomodate these changes.

-VFX Tweaks: Most effects have been tweaked to look more impactful, and some effects have been added such as blood splats.

-Immersive Weapons: Added or changed many effects to weapon projectiles, particles, explosions in order to look more meaty and also to give each unit a distinctive feel (Ex: Normal grenade looks different than Anti-Armor grenade, etc.)

-Flora Tweaks: vegetation looks bigger and different to make forests immersive.

-Minor Tweaks: Minor changes such as Water Color, Textures, etc.



KNOW ISSUES

Some Units may not retain their light source when a component of a group get resurrected. (EX. A group of 5 entities heals and gets back to 6).

It may be an engine limitation but I am investigating it.


NOTES

-The mod will keep evolving with feedback, so any suggestion is appreciated!

-I would highly recommend to play with the day\night cycle enabled to enjoy all the cool effects althought it is not mandatory.

-To really enjoy the mod the best, you should play at max setting and 1440p or higher, however nothing prevents you to play with lower settings or resolutions if you need to.

-DISABLE AA. It is a FXAA which is just a post-process filter that smear and ruins the graphics and provides no benefit, especially at 1440p or higher. Could be worth it at 1080p.


CREDITS

-Thanks to Proxy Studios for the incredible game file system, probably one of the most mod user-friendly structure I have seen in a videogame. Anyone can easily mod this game.

Some games require 3 Nasa certificates and 4 nobel prizes in Physics in order to simply change one texture, that's not the case here.

-Also I wanto to thank the Gladius+ team for ispiring me making this mod and learn files structure and Toffster for giving me tips.

-Shoutout to Poly Haven that offers high quality free public use textures to use for all purposes, a really great source that I highly recommend.

All the new DLC units have been rescaled accordingly.
Added night headlights for some DLC units (when it makes sense)

Does anyone know if the shadow resolution can be increased? Even on the highest setting unit and tree shadows appear very "pixellated". By that I mean while the shadow edges appear smeared and "fluffly" they don't move gradually, each shadow "pixel" jumps around by large distance when a unit or object moves or the sun moves to the point where it almost looks like flicker sometimes.
