(Outdated) Dragon Class Selection

描述
Update: This mod is now obsolete and should no longer be used. Before you do so however, make sure to update your dragons to the vanilla loadouts instead of using any mod ones. Otherwise your dragons will not be visible after the mod is disabled.

I was somewhat annoyed by the forced classes for Dragon Lord leaders based on affinity, and felt some were not very thematic for my characters. So this mod adds extra loadouts for every affinity type of Dragon Lord, covering all four classes that Dragon Lords can be in vanilla, for a total of 24 variations of dragon (18 new ones).

At the moment I have not included the Ranger class, as it has no weapon type a Dragon Lord can use. However if someone else wants to make one I have no qualms about them using my mod as reference for how to set them up.

It's quite possible the devs will implement something to make this mod irrelevant at some point, as they have already commented they don't like the current system, and that it was a stopgap measure for now. But until then this mod will give users the option to make Dragon Lords that fit their preferences much better than the current options.

If you have any questions, or spot something out of place on one of the loadouts, please feel free to speak up! :)

WARNING: If you disable the mod, any characters you made using non-vanilla loadouts will be hidden. They are not gone, they simply won't show up without the mod. Make sure to change your affinity/class to a vanilla loadout before disabling the mod if you want to continue using those leaders after disabling the mod!

well i wish i had payed attention to this, i found out when all my dragons were gone from my custom factions list. if you do end up updating it to 1.3 you will be saving my but because a buddy of mine and i were deep in a large map.

Disabling the mod made my ruler reappear, only downside was that I had to delete a campaign that previously had it, which I don't mind. This was very nice to have before it became official, thank you for all of the work you do.

Somehow I missed the warnings to change the loadout, now my dragon ruler is greyed out with only the option to delete him available - have I just broken it permanently, or will the fix you've got planned help with that?

Heads up, this mod will be irrelevant after the next update. The devs are now separating class and loadout selection, making this mod obsolete.

I would suggest switching to default dragon loadouts, and then disabling the mod ahead of time for the cleanest transition to the new version. But I will still be updating the mod to that version at least when it goes live, to ensure users can update their dragons to the new system without losing any characters.

Awesome as hell - I didn't realize since on my end the patch was released on November 7th and the mod said it'd been updated on the 6th so I thought it was one of those unfortunate situations where you finished tinkering with the mod and then a new patch hit right after.

Update: I've now included the ability to edit a dragon's loadout after ascension. This lets you use the mod with already ascended dragons, and ensures you will always be able to preserve the characters in the event of you wishing to disable the mod in the future.
