描述
Tired of the default piss water that looks the same in every campaign?
well this mod is for you.

The goal of this mod is to give each map their own water color to match their themes, while also making the water color more "realistic" and also enhancing it by adding proper reflection to it and making the water more clearer which can be different in each maps based on the water.


This mod does few things :

1- changes water color on each map, dark blue on dark carnival, green on swamp fever, etc. most of the map using different blue colors as default.

2-enhancing the water, making it reflective, prettier and clean at most of the maps, i also upscaled 3 water normal textures (which is used on most of the waters) to make it look better.

3-waters in each maps is unique in some ways, for example, water speed is normal in first chapter of hard rain, but it becomes faster and faster in later chapters of the campaign
or in swamp fever campaign, the deeper you go in the swamp, the deeper water color is.

4-fixes some waters, for example the water under the bridge in the first chapter of the passing looked awful, but guess what, not anymore.

IMPORTANT NOTES :

1-THIS MOD WILL CONFLICT WITH OTHER WATER MODS, like "enhanced water reflections" or "clean waters", so use one only.

2-this is NOT a script, just a vmt edit so it should work on multiplayer.

3-i'm aware of the entity reflection problem, i don't know a way to fix it honestly, so i only applied it to SOME waters like hard rain/swamp fever instead of all. but i turned it off in maps like last chapter of the parish.

4-also this mod should affect SOME custom maps too based on which water they using in their map, because i saw this worked on "time to die" map but didn't worked in "tropical thunder" map.

5-sewage/sewer waters in maps like parish/death tool/no mercy/the passing are untouched, the default water color fits them well.

6-i could not find the water files for first chapter of "dead air" and the rest of the maps doesn't have water, so, that's pretty much it.

some of the images are outdated because fokin steam doesn't let me add images

I noticed that this water mod conflicts with the “+Ultra Particle: Gore” mod…

Too bad, since I really like both mods — but I guess I’ll have to use only one of them.

I’m not sure exactly why they conflict, but it usually happens during Tank fights, especially in the Swamp Fever campaign. Maybe it’s due to too many particles, reflections, or something like that.

By the way, great mod — it looks amazing! :)

are you sure that its this mod?

if its a "too many index buffer (-----) tell a programmer" error, its your survivor/infected mods

if not try playing in borderless than full screen, see if these methods fix those crashes
because i'm using this mod since the day i made it and honestly i had no crash at all

Good mod, but for me it's strange that the game crashes on the map "c3m3_shantytown" whenever any Tank appears — it always closes the game. I wonder why that happens; it also occurs with some water effects.

@杜子牛 , in which chapters?

@Paranoid and Confused , that's because the author used different type of water or a custom one when making their campaigns

@i agree , changing water on chapter 1 hardrain affects other places (for some weird reason), if you mean chapter 2 then yeah you are maybe right, chapter 3 and 4 are dark green to match the campaign theme

@Geo , what glow? that's reflection of skybox, example if you are using a bright skybox the reflection on water will be affected too (making it full white or etc)

Could you fix the annoying glow on the floor that occurs in the last chapter of Swamp fever and the second chapter of Hard Rain?

Im just gonna repeat what someone else said: The water shouldn't be such a deep blue in Hard Rain. It makes no sense. You need much much deeper water to get that kind of blue.
