Ascó nuclear power plant

描述
The Ascó nuclear power plant is a nuclear power plant located in the town of Ascó in Tarragona, Catalonia, Spain, on the right bank of the Ebro River. It consists of two units*, Ascó I belongs to Endesa Generacion and Ascó II to Endesa Generacion (85%) and Iberdrola Generacion (15%). It is operated by the Ascó-Vandellos II Nuclear Association (ANAV). Unit I began its activity on December 10, 1984, while Unit II did so on March 31, 1986.

It has two Westinghouse pressurized water reactors (PWR): one of 1032.5 MWe, and another of 1027.2 MWe. Its cooling system consists of a natural draft tower, two forced draft batteries and the Ebro River itself.

*Because they are twin power plants and almost identical, I have only made one of them.

Increased fuel storage.

Thanks for the information about the Magnox. There are some interesting ones, I'll keep them in mind.

I think Calder Hall, Chapelcross and Berkeley reactors are the most complex external designs of all Magnox reactors because their steam condensers were located on the outside along with lots of other complex machinery, Bradwell, Hinkley Point, Trawsfynydd, and Dungeness are much more simple designs, being huge concrete cubes, but they still look unique and interesting, they had huge glass facades, Sizewell is very similar but both reactors are located in the single containment building so it is bigger in size. I always found it strange how every Magnox power plant had completely different design containment buildings.

The CP0 CP1 and CP2 are French 900MW reactor designs built in the 1970s, based on Westinghouse PWR, they succeeded the UNGG. P4 and P'4 French 1300MW reactors, succeeded the CPY class. N4 1500MW succeeded the P4 class, and is the newest class in widespread operation, though in real life they have severe design issues. N4 is the predecessor to the new EPR being built across the world.

I understand how difficult it can be to model such huge and complex buildings, which is why I have taken up modelling myself, so thank you for your hard work making these excellent mods

Yes, I want to build more power plants, although they are things that take a long time, several months, and I have to choose them carefully. Magnox wanted to build Calder Hall, in fact I made a primitive sketch, although in the end I ended up building the Aliaga coal-fired power plant. In France, I also plan to build the UNGG units at Saint Laurent. Regarding the R4 power plants you mention, I am not familiar with them.

Please make more nuclear sites! Please consider making international nuclear power plants, Magnox, AGR, French CPY and N4-class, I think a lot of Soviet designs already have mods :rich_kid:
