Vienna Tram (Viedenská električka)

The Vienna tram was a line connecting the cities of Vienna and Bratislava (then Pressburg). The line was opened in 1914. It ran from the centre of Bratislava through Petržalka (then Ligetfalu), via Schwechat to the centre of Vienna.

In the centre of Bratislava these vehicles used to run on the same tracks as the city trams in Bratislava.

In the Bratislava part of the route, Ganz Eg railcars were used together with Ringhoffer BCa wagons. At the station in Kopčany, the Ganz Eg locomotive was exchanged for a suburban locomotive, which continued to Vienna.


In honor of the 110th anniversary of the first Vienna tram, I created an adaptation for Workers and Resources: the Soviet Republic.
In the game, the vehicle behaves like a tram, so it can be rewired on both tram and railroad tracks in the game.
Adding cars has to be done at the train depot. The maximum possible combination is: Eg 6 + BCa + BCa
The BCa car can be connected to any tram in the game.
