Soviet Endgame: Golden Jaguars

描述
1600 Hours
Albrook Air Force Station
Panama

The US response was swift. The nearest forces they could bring to bear consisted of Air Force Corsair IIs belonging to the 24th Tactical Air Support Squadron flying out of Albrook Air Force Station in Panama City, Panama. Within half an hour of the reports that the Marine Amphibious Unit had been attacked, the Golden Jaguars were working through the requirements to strike back. The bigwigs in Washington had determined that a strike at the port facilities on both coasts of Nicaragua would be the most effective use of the Jag’s’ Corsairs.
The commanders divided the unit into three flights. The first would attack the main east coast port of Bluefields. The second, the smaller port of El Bluff, which lay on the east side of Bluefields Bay. The third and final unit would strike the west coast port of Miramar. Given the relatively small payload of the light attack planes, these attacks were designed to function both tactically and symbolically. These were real targets of military value that could be disrupted and destroyed with the attacking force. Symbolically, they told the Nicaraguans that they lived under the shadow of the United States.

Straight from the Pages of the Soviet Endgame Series, this scenario takes place after the “Caribbean Sucker Punch” as the Americans scramble to respond!
