Twenny

HXC-020, or "Twenny" for short, is one of the rogue paranormal anomalies from the ever-haunted Ambrosia City. Born from discarded computer software and hardware being bathed in the haunted sewer waters flowing from lake Ambrosia, Twenny is a unique kind of paranormal lifeform, with electricity for a mind, ectoplasmic acid for blood and a spectral soul.
Tales of magical girl talkshows that flowed in from an outside world led to her finding herself as an adorable hostess with the mostess, although her crude origins, damage to her circuitry and volatile isolation have left her a psychotic mentally unstable mess, who's prone to swerving from topics of cute pink ribbons to murderous thoughts at the drop of a hat.

Twenny's main mechanics are a network of pipes spawnable through Down Special and two kinds of bombs through Neutral Special. With plenty of control over her bomb angles and two different kinds of pipes, both selectable by holding those inputs, plasticity at a long range is the name of the game with this heavyweight fighter based on zoners from Smash Bros like Samus, ROB and Bowser Jr, who also serves as an adaptation and expansion of the SSL Twenny fighter.

This character was made in a month and a half for the ExW 2024 Horror Jam.

Twenny shoots from her pipe cannon a small jerry-rigged explosive, primed with liquid ectoplasm. She naturally throws the bomb at a diagonal angle, but can angle it up to send skyhigh or down to send rolling a short distance in front of you. This bomb has a short fuse that begins counting either from the moment it touches the ground or after hitting someone, exploding almost instantly in the latter case, and serves as your bread and butter long ranged combo tool.

By charging the input, Twenny instead tosses out a loaded trashbag. Although a seemingly more simple contraption, its absolutely loaded with ghostly acid, and after a long fuse explodes into a steam of laughing ghostly wisps. This is a strong long-ranged killing option, but the long fuse requires extensive setup to use well.

Twenny plans out the blueprints for an expansion to her sewer system into the battlefield, before spawning in a sewer pipe. By holding the input, you can change the blueprints to instead be for an angled, broken, pipe, facing left or right.
Pipes on their own do nothing besides the hitbox when being spawned in, but the second there's two pipes onscreen they become connected, and several interactions can be made wherein something that goes in through one pipe goes out the other.
Twenny herself is normally too big to travel through pipes, but her 2 kinds of bombs both squeeze through; Soul Grenades are shot out at high speeds like cannonballs, while Trashbag Bombs come out the otherside converted into a salvo of three Soul Grenades going in different directions!
If a pipe is hit by an electrical attack (All Strongs, DTilt, BAir), the current will travel through it and come out the other side as a small pesky electric ghost known as a Live Spark. While small and precise, this projectile stuns opponents that hit it, adding a big factor to Twenny's zoning game.

Twenny splits her arm cannon in half and, spinning scrap body, dashes forward before uppercutting with the recombined pipe. This move can be held to travel longer, and has a slightly upward trajectory in the air.
If you pass by a bomb during this move, you'll carry it along with you before tossing it forward with the last hit. Like with pipes, Trashbag Bombs get split into 3 Soul Grenades upon being interacted with.

Twenny leaps off of her "body", which is no more than wires and trash, and ejects her true body, the boxy monitor that serves as her head, high into the air. In this state, you turn into a super-lightweight and can only air dodge, wall jump and use a single new attack, but it's a very fast recovery that covers huge distances. Upon landing onto the ground, Twenny laggily reforms a new body from the wires in her domain.
While Twenny is just a head, she is small enough to fit through pipes! Conveniently, between one pipe and another she acquires a brand new body with no lag, meaning you can use the pipes to patch up one of this move's biggest weaknesses, in its landing!
Your "corpse" you leave behind during this move also teleports between pipes.

While in midair, you lose access to all moves except a unique downward grab with a claw, inputted with Special, that extends from under Twenny' head and into either the ground or an opponent. If it hits an opponent, Twenny will zip over their head and pummel them with acid, before hopping off, with a less laggy landing animation. You can also snag onto the ground with the claw to land faster.
If you zip to a trashbag, you'll pummel it before shooting out three soul grenades upwards!

Like USpecial, Twenny dislodges from her trash body, although in this case her spinning head is tossed upward before dealing out a strong electric shock attack.
Use your free aerial movement in the air to your advantage and chase opponents! Overall a very good Strong, although it leaves you airborne in head stance afterwards. If you hit an opponent with this move, the landing lag for the head stance is also shortened.

A big, chargable punch! Not much to it, it's rate of charging is the same as Strong attacks.

Twenny has a set of 12 unique voiced victory quotes when beating any opponent, and also has custom voice lines against the following characters:
- Mal
- Another Twenny
- Horror Jam Entries
- Pastelle
- "Cute" Characters (Amber, Kirby, etc)
She also has a few win quotes against certain characters like Alexis, Venus and Déraciné, but those are not voiced.
