Railways of Durham Pack

描述
This is a collection of fictional locos and rolling stock for my fictional island named Durham. This pack will be updated occasionally.

Small Piece of Railway History:
LER - First Railway to be built on Durham after the shut down of the F&M Railway, due to neglect and corruption among its executives, in 1923. The LER was established in March of 1933 and, up until 1936, used only locomotives leased from other companies, mainly the Southern Railway and the London, Midland and Scottish Railway. The LER continued to use LMS rolling stock and Locomotives until its absorption into British Railways in 1948. The mainline ran from Lynnfield Harbor, in the south, to Edwin, in the northeast.

NWoSR - The NWoSR was established in January of 1935 due to a need for a faster way to move goods and transport people in the northwestern region of Durham. The railway wasted no time in developing its own locomotives and the first locomotive designed in Durham, since 1922, rolled out of the shop in August of 1935. The NWoSR also used a lot of lease locomotives from the Great Western and the London North Eastern Railways. Rolling stock on the railway mostly came from the GWR with some stock, like its brake vans, coming from the Southern railway. The NWoSR mainline ran from the Northwestern harbor of Kittson, to Sarwin in the Central region of the island. Despite a scandal involving a familiar figure on the island, the NWoSR maintained itself up until its absorption into BR in 1948.

LKER - The LKER was established in late December of 1954 due to the Durham region not being willing to replace its locomotives with diesel and electric motive power. Durham as a whole was against this plan and wanted to regain it's right to govern its railways independent from the Mainland British network. The LKER continued to manufacture and design steam locomotives but did occasionally add diesels from BR to its fleet. These were usually more obscure designs, such as the Fell. During the Islands time under BR, the mainline of the LER and NWoSR were connected in Sarwin. The mainline of the LKER remained the same as it was under BR. Through even the roughest of times, the LKER has maintained itself as an essential part of the Island to this day.
