描述
The 3400 Series (3400形) is a commuter EMU operated by Keisei Electric Railway since 1993.

With an almost identical exterior to the 3700 series introduced at around the same time, the 3400 series are differentiated by their reused equipment. By 1990, the first generation Skyliner vehicles had experienced significant deterioration in their exterior bodies, but the accumulated mileage was not high and most of its running, and control equipment were still in good condition. Keisei decided to scrap the car bodies and reinstall equipment into a new commuter train body, creating the 3400 series. The air conditioning system uses three centralized distributed units per car, instead of two units with higher output on the 3700 series. This type was also the first Keisei vehicle to feature wheelchair spaces, which was also installed on later batches of the 3700 series. A total of 5 sets were built, all of which operated as 6-car sets for less than a year before conversion to 8-car sets. The type is capable of through operations onto the Asakusa Line and Keikyu lines, but not the Narita Sky Access Line, it is thus mainly used on express trains continuing onto the Keisei Main Line. The 3400 series began to be withdrawn in 2020, and only one set remains active today. As the traction equipment is now over 45 years old, the last set is unlikely to remain for more than a few years.

Basic Information:

Max Speed: 130km/h (provisional*)
Acceleration: 0.92m/s/s
Motor Output: 140kW x 4 per car
Seating: long
In Service: 1993-

The following formations are included:

3400 Series (6 Car)

Configuration: 4M2T
Max Pax: 1556
-no longer operated

3400 Series (8 Car)

Configuration: 6M2T
Max Pax: 2088

*As all relevant equipment is reused from the AE Series (first generation), the type is in theory capable of 130km/h. However it was not built with the intention of operating beyond 110km/h, which is the maximum speed of commuter trains on the Keisei network.

I don't see any evidence of that. New photos of it are still being posted on Twitter with "I wonder when it'll be retied" type comments attached.
