You cant just send Lord McHero with 10000hp and 300% damage resistance into the fray and just wait until you win. You have to think your strategy and use the terrain if you want to win the battles. All settlments being their own province makes you actually think before attacking instead of just bulldozing through minor settlments. Morale becomes a cornerstone of the strategy once again. A good charge can send an entire army routing, but you also have to be careful since units can get trapped now, instead of just being able to phase through units by spamming the click. Cavalry charges, and just unit collisions in general also feel much better.
The creator of this mod is a hero for making this game fun again and further proves how willfully incompetent CA seems to be.
