(This is a continuation of JBloodthorn mod, basically updated version tags, I claim no ownership.)

Stops pawns from wanting to carry food around in their pockets.

Original Description:
Stops pawns from wanting to carry food around in their pockets.

They will still carry food to train animals or load caravans, but will no longer carry a meal around to eat later. So they will have to walk all the way back to base to get their food needs met. Which means they will be near a table when they eat, instead of trying to eat out in the middle of nowhere and getting a mood malus because they were too stupid to walk back to the amazing dining room you've built for them.

Prevent war crimes. Stop carrying meals around.


Compatibility:
The Human Hive - Compatibility added 2021/05/03 for both drones and queens.

Common Sense - Not really compatible. Whichever comes last in the load order will control meal grabbing behavior. Common Sense has special rules for which meals a pawn should take, and patches the same thing as this mod to do it.

Android tiers -
Works on humans, but androids still carry meals. Might be able to fix, but I'll need to play a game with androids first. Thank you sergio.arauzo for checking this.
2020/05/16: After starting a game with androids, I updated the mod to make them also stop packing food. Kudos to the creators of Android Tiers for making it easy with such clean and well formatted code.

The description states that it's not compatible with Common Sense because both mods patch the same code. Is this referring to:

- (optional) pawns will treat sleeping assignment as a recreation when they can't sleep. Pawns will not prefer recreational activities after topping it off until it's down to at least 80%. Pawns also will try to take spare meals during this time. Dubs hygiene activities also was re-prioritized

Because this is optional, and if not enabled should not be a problem. Asking in case it's some other conflict.

EDIT - BTW, what others have mentioned is true. Even with just this mod active, it does not work without changing the threshold values to 99.

@Darius Wolfe - Tweaks Galore uses the exact same code because it's a mod composed of other mods, including this one. One hopes they got the permissions to combine them into a collection.

Hello all,

I've discovered a fix for why this mod was not working for me, with assistance from the Mod Development channel on the Official Discord (Thanks, Aelanna!)

The problem (for me) is an interaction with Need Bar Overflow: This mod prevents pawns from packing food unless their food bar exceeds 100%, which is normally impossible; Need Bar Overflow allows needs to exceed 100%, which is especially useful for food, as a single meal can kick you up over 100% unless you're starving.

Setting the threshold in the Humanlike.xml file in the Patches folder to 99 (or some arbitrarily higher number) will prevent this mod interaction, as confirmed in my own save.

Sorry everyone if the mod does not work for you, I have no coding experience and do not have problems when using it on my own time. The code is untouched from the original developer, I've only updated version tags. As mentioned if you have problems try Tweaks Galore as an alternative.

Tweaks Galore mod has in options to disable meals from invetory.

Yup doesn't seem to be working for me either. Pawns still carry food with them. I tried moving this to the bottom of my mod list too and it didn't help. D:

I hope we get to see this updated to 1.6. I had to find this mod cause my caravan started starving after I sent them along with a hope and a prayer. I thought I ran out of food...

No... three pawns decided to carry 50 fucking rations each, thus wiping out my entire stockpile.
