Ohio Ordnance HCAR with a Shortdot scope, suppressor, grippod, and AN/PEQ-2 CVL from Payday 2

John Moses Browning contributed too many firearm design inventions to count. The Browning Automatic Rifle (aka BAR) was developed late into the first World War, and considered something short of a wunderwaffe by at least one American general who insisted on issuing his troops .30-06 Chauchat conversions (yes, those that reportedly only worked when the stars aligned), lest those weapons be captured by the enemy and reverse engineered. It saw more use in World War II: The Sequel, and was widely available to the point of several infamous gangsters using cut down BARs in their business. The production ended long ago, but there were a bunch of receivers lying around, collecting dust. The guys at Ohio Ordnance decided to mill some metal off to make the notoriously heavy weapon lighter and modernize it with accessory rails and ergonomic enhancements, and sell it under the name of Heavy Counter Assault Rifle, which is some F.E.A.R. ahh acronym.


It didn't take long for the newly added MW23 HCAR lookalike to be ported to leffoded. After the MP9, I didn't really expect the Payday 2 model to fit so well, but it did. Since the original mod replaces the Hunting Rifle, mine takes the Military Sniper slot instead. I do not intend to make an unsuppressed version at this point, in fact - this might become a recurring theme in my Payday 2 ports because the firing sounds in that game are awful. I will try and make as many suppressed guns as possible because at least those sounds don't suck as much.
