EDIT! Switch between persistent and regular throttle.

This is my version of the Soviet SU-76M self-propelled gun. It is an approximation, not a 1:1 replica. A note on that: I made a mistake early on that I could not be bothered to fix when I noticed it. The casemate should not be symmetrical as it appeared in some of my sources so the right side is a little off, but it is what it is.

Info from Wikipedia, somewhat edited.

******
The SU-76 (Samokhodnaya Ustanovka 76) was a Soviet light self-propelled gun (SPG) used during and after World War II. The SU-76 was based on a lengthened version of the T-70 light tank chassis and armed with the ZIS-3 model 1942 76-mm divisional field gun and had a crew of 4: commander, driver, gunner and loader. Its quite simple construction and multipurpose combat role made it the second most produced Soviet armored fighting vehicle of World War II, after the T-34 medium tank with over 14,000 built. It was produced from December 1942 to October 1945.

The ZIS-3 gun had an elevation of -5 to +15 and a traverse of -15 to -15 degrees, and the rate of fire of was about 10 rounds per minute.

The SU-76M virtually replaced light tanks in the close support role. While its thin armour and open top made it vulnerable to anti-tank weapons and grenades, its light weight and low ground pressure gave it good maneuverability and low noise on the move, and the main advantage of the light SPGs was their wide versatility. The SU-76M was a multipurpose SPG and combined three main battlefield roles: light assault gun for infantry support, mobile anti-tank weapon and mobile gun for indirect fire.

CONTROLS
Driver's seat
W/S: Variable persistent throttle. Works backwards and forwards. Use manual gearbox for more control. / Regular throttle. *
A/D: Steering.
Spacebar: Handbrake/brake. Use this as regular brake too.
Left/Right arrows: Turn driver's periscope.
Alt + Up/Down/Left/Right arrows or Mouse: Aim gun.
Fire action 1 / Num 1: Fire gun. 4 stacked AP and 4 stacked HE guns.
B / Beacon: Switch between AP and HE rounds. Indicator by the driver's seat shows which type is selected.
K / Hazard Lights: Switch between persistent throttle and regular throttle. *
X / Disable Steering: Operate gun travel safety hook. Aim gun to the right, lower the hook and the gun is free to be used.
L / Headlights: Light.
Camera 1: Driver's periscope.
Camera 2: Gun sight.

Commander's seat (rear right)
Left/Right arrows: Turn commander's periscope.
Camera 1: Commander's periscope.

* IMPORTANT! When switching, make sure the engine is as close to idle (1,000 rpm) as possible to avoid issues.

Since it's quite a cramped vehicle and the guns are still huge and Bob is still a very thick boy and we only have seats with backrests I have only added one seat in the back for the commander even though the vehicle should have a crew of 4, but there's just no room for additional seats.

Hatches and view port are all opened with buttons. Internal night lights are operated with buttons near them.

* Works both forward and in reverse. It has a decently big dead spot so it's not hard to find the idling position. I couldn't remove brakes from the axels since then it won't steer so it breaks a bit when reducing the throttle. Use manual gearbox for even more control. The slightly jerky movement we can chalk up to these vehicles being notoriously physically hard to drive requiring quite a bit of muscle to control. Since the throttle is controlled by sensors the tank will still move if the driver switches to Alt-mode to control the gun, so it's recommended to come to a full stop first.

Feel free to edit, but if you reupload publicly in any way please acknowledge the original creation and creator.

Have fun!

Well the throttle isn't meant to work in Alt-mode since you can set the throttle in regular mode and then just cruise along when switching to Alt mode to control the gun. I did this since most tanks etc during WW2 would never fire on the move unless they were desperate, so steering doesn't work in Alt mode either since you're supposed to come to a halt in a WW2-like manner before shooting, but again feel free to edit as you like. :)

Not sure why you're having issues to begin with but this has the same mechanism for the throttle as the Japgdpanzer sp yout fix should work with this one too

If it's not working properly feel free to make a private copy and just set the engine input to the regular throttle.

oi found a fix
use a switch with output channel and connect it to the engine and get two switches, alt and non alt throttle and connect them to the first switch with shift and bam fixed :D

Not sure what you mean by toggling? As in working like the normal throttle you mean? Not sure why if so, it works as intended for me. Not even low FPS ormultiplayer issues should be able to mess with the throttle. I think but then again in this game you never know how actuators bug out.
Sorry but no idea what's causing you problems I'm afraid. :(
