[VFR] Trench Warfare - Vanilla Friendly Rebalance

This mod rebalances combat dynamics to emphasize the defensive nature of World War I trench warfare, while staying fully compatible with the vanilla game. Experience a more historically immersive gameplay without breaking the core mechanics!

Key Features:
  • Reduced Offensive Power: Offense bonuses for chemical weapons and flamethrowers lowered from 20 to 10, making defense a stronger strategic choice and reflecting the historical stalemate of trench warfare.
  • Enhanced Machine Guns: Hand-cranked and automatic machine gunners now have increased kill rates (0.3 and 0.6) and boosted defense (7 and 15), strengthening defensive positions.
  • New Mobilization Option: Introducing "Hand-Cranked Machine Gunners," an early-tier defensive unit with balanced upkeep and stats, unlockable before automatic machine guns.
  • Historical Immersion: Encourages defensive strategies, capturing the grueling essence of World War I combat while preserving vanilla balance.
