Rising to prominence in a promotion surrounded with legends such as Mitsuharu Misawa, Kenta Kobashi, Toshiaki Kawada and Akira Taue is no easy task, but Jun 'Blue Thunder' Akiyama did just that.

Making his All Japan Pro-Wrestling in 1992, Jun Akiyama became highly-regarded for his superb mat skills, innovative Suplex variants, and excellent tag team work; earning Akiyama the distinction of being a six-time tag team champion.
