@Spudro Thank you for noting this. I did this by accident when updating to 1.6 and didn't notice. Should be fixed now!

The mod is tagged as "translation" without being a translation for a mod, even if you support multiple languages it's incorrect

@Stallion It's every gene, works with every mod I've tried including the VE mods.

Does this remove genetic complexity from all Vanilla Expanded mods that add new genes? Or just the base game and expansions?

@ksauthor Another great idea, thank you! In the same vein as my other comment on the other mod, I like this idea. Time is less available to me these days but if I find the time to work on this I'll be sure to note it here.

These are both great mods! If the difficulty isn’t too high, could I suggest making it an options menu to apply a multiplier to the Complexity/Metabolism values? Setting the multiplier to 0 would do what this mod is already doing, but it would allow alternative setups; for instance, I’m running the no metabolic cost mod, but I’d actually prefer to double complexity on all genes to compensate for removing metabolic cost in terms of balance. May not be feasible, but thought I’d share the idea. Thanks for the mods!
