Billed from the 'Deepest, Darkest Africa', the smooth-talkin', funky dancin' Akeem strutted his way to WWF rings in style.
Formerly known as the One Man Gang, Akeem (with the assistance of manager Slick) was said to finally embrace Gang's African roots through this new gimmick.

Rumour has it that the Akeem character was inspired by the Eddie Murphy flick Coming To America, which made it's theatrical release just four months before Akeem made his WWF debut.
