tried with vanilla gmod and it did not change them

Can anyone tell me the purpose of this addon? I have installed and reinstalled it and I can still see the same old muzzleflashes on the default half life 2 weapons.
Do we have to install some other weapons pack with which this addon is compatible?
Any answer on this would really clear up some confusion a lot of people seem to have.

If you have any weapon replacements theres a 90% chance its not working because of that. I would recommend subbing to this first then ur weapon replacements.
