A new mod is in the works! Enhanced Blood II will continue where this mod left off, altering the dying animation of units.

Finally, after modifying a total of ‭2025‬ sprites, it's time to publish my work.
It alters the first three decay frames of every unit and animal (except scorpion/trebuchet/mangonel).

As it is a purely cosmetic mod, it is Multiplayer compatible.

Note: This is for all dlcs aswell as the basegame. If you want the corpses to remain longer, you might want to check out the no decay mod made by Yunkster: Persistent Corpses.

Credits: The Brushes used in creating this mod are taken from Photoshoptutorials[www.photoshoptutorials.ws]

Been using this for years. I really like this mod as it makes the game a bit darker and grimmer. But it also allows the player to see where the biggest battles have been and which units the enemy has been using as the skeletons stick around longer. Valuable especially in FFA games where vision is limited to your own units. This and the imo lame battle animations in the remake is what makes me stick to this version as the best Age of Empires II experience. Thank you for a job well done.
