Thanks for suggestion, I am adding a note about Community Edition. Maybe it is required for Water Core to work, I am not sure.
I wasn't aware that I needed to be running the Community Edition, found this nugget of information after consulting with Uncle Google. Might want to make that a 'checkpoint' in your instructions.
Also, not sure if this is related, but when starting the game the first time, I went into options and checked the mods tab. NONE of the mods was 'installed', had to move them across.
All good now and up and running.

I tested now and there is water. Make sure that you followed "World Setup Guide" above.
Started new game with no odther mods. There is no water. Feels like Drain The Oceans from National Geographic. Unplayable.

While following the World Setup Guide above, add a bed and claim it for singleplayer or place a "safe area" flag somewhere in the world if you are planning to play with friends. BTW ME-Vikings server started a new world with Planet Earth few days ago.
