(LUS) Saiya - Class Battleship Flight 2

originally designed to be an over might to any battle fleet the LPR could muster it was the first heavy battle ship in service of the LUS navy
the lead vessel the Saiya was launched just before the start of the second LUS/LPR war
during her first combat deployment she suffered critical damage which let to the near loss of the Saiya
it was found in the after battle report that there was a design flaw where a hydrogen tank explosion let to a chain reaction which detonated the back half of the ship and the repair was halted
with her sister ships still under construction and heavy attrition there was a urgent need to find a solution
its was decided that the Saiya herself would be reconstructed that be the new blueprint for her sister ships
its reconstruction complete with lessons from the Ryuu and Tanto classes
the newly designed Saiya re entered the war and took charge of the counter offensive which ended the grueling war
