Alb is a nation inspired by alpine folklore and particularly the book of Charles Fréger “Wilder Mann”. The most powerful beings in the nation are the Perchte, old mountain goddesses who collected the souls of the wandering dead. Forced to flee before the Pantokrator they hid in the shadows of the tallest mountains together with their entourage - the Perchten. The most powerful of these are the Krampuses, harsh demons of winter, who nominally rule the nation. However when a Perchta is present you may also recruit the lesser Perchten. Then there are the Alps, mischievous fay creatures which cause sleep paralysis and feed off the nightmares, and sometimes blood, of their victims. There are numerous other fay creatures and demons from the alpine folklore you can either recruit or summon.

Meanwhile the poor humans that have to suffer this fay torture are based around the bronze age Hallstatt culture. They are strong and proud, using their large horns to boost the morale of their armies while striking fear into the enemies.

More content is planned in the future as well as continuing the story of Alb in MA and LA.

@Casus_Bellum This is probably my favorite if not one of my favorite nation mods. I cannot compliment the art style enough, the horns in particular. one thing I've noticed while playing: the Perche hero Holle doesn't seem to fly. She has flavor text that suggests she flies in the same manner as the other Perche, but has map move 18 vs the 22 the recruitable Perche have, and no flying trait in her character screen.

@Casus_Bellum Righteous! Cause yeah I've fanangled my forces so my cold aura units don't cold aura the rest of the army but it leaves some weird gaps in the army.
Also holy cow (goat?) really?!? That's actually so cool how we were on the same wavelength there!
Oh! Also also before I forget the Tapperkap from EA is fighting St. Nicks bell from MA, I'd love to just keep both on but tbf switching between the two isn't that difficult. I just play with ALOT of mods and getting all the nations to work nicely with eachother is a pain. One of these days I'll just learn how to mod Dominions and then I will probably die when my PC explodes when I have 100+ mods running lmao (just like when I spend 4 years modding Dwarf Fortress to add things and make changes I wanted ((I.E. like orcs and coloured dragons with wings and stuff)) )

Hi everyone, sorry for the late replies. Computer time has been very limited the last 2 months.

@JakeSlayer The cold res actually does sounds like a good idea, will definitely add it in the upcoming patch. Also thanks for spoiling LA Alb :P the Maenads with sickles are actually recruitable.

Also maybe give the humans like Coldres5 or something, watching Mountain peoples and literal half-bear half-men get frozen by my Krampis cold aura feels a little off.

Maybe give Holle some mini-Holles? Could be a neat sacred summon/Free summon from Holle herself, or even a bodyguard like Holle always spawns 3 at start of battle or something?

Oh I LIKE this. A lot of fun unit profiles in here, anchored by some pretty good scales troops, and strong flavour. I confess, one of the biggest selling points for me though is that after running into like, THREE mod nations that don't, this finally offers a nation with recruitable demons and the darkvision that comes with the tag, that can cast darkness to make use of it. At last!
