Either use an offline one, or use an online like Bitwarden. Never use browser built-in ones.
I'm not sure how you get that idea. As soon as you own any expansion you can use gold-to-gem conversion to get gems, the in-game shop currency, IF you feel like you need anything that's bought with them. (LazyPeon on the matter: https://youtu.be/gxXB2CmVqmM?t=236 )
You'll be hard-pressed to find any MMO that is more fairly priced than GW2.
I'm not very familiar with BDO, but it doesn't seem like it is more fairly monetized than GW2.
If you are wondering which gem store thingies you may want and how much they will cost, I recommend you open a discussion thread, so more people see it and respond.
Expansion—Deluxe Upgrades for gems
If one didn't buy the Deluxe or Ultimate Edition of an expansion, the "Deluxe Upgrade" containing all Deluxe goodies can later be bought on the gem store for 2400💎. These are usually also discounted by as much as their associated expansions (e.g., when the HoT+PoF bundle is -75% off, both Deluxe Upgrade bundles will also be available for 600💎).
This option is available for Steam accounts aswell.
With the -autologin command line argument that goes right behind -provider Portal, you also get logged in automatically, so I see why people might see this as a pro, but I don't agree with it.
