Super Adventure Festival 2026 Is Live!

It's time for the most pixelated party in Guild Wars 2®, the Super Adventure Festival! Moto has once again opened the doors to his virtual world, inviting players to jump, battle, and collect a treasure trove of new and returning rewards. Moto has also opened a new (partially submerged) test zone for early access!

Super Adventure Festival ends May 5. Check out the full release notes[en-forum.guildwars2.com] on the official forums, or log into Guild Wars 2 now and check your in-game mail for an invitation to the Super Adventure Festival. Double-click the invitation item to teleport instantly to the Super Adventure Box near Magustan Court Waypoint in Rata Sum.

A range of retro rewards is newly available! In addition to returning awards, adventurers can earn a Powered Vest, Plush Ess Backpack, the Forged-Light weapon set, a Mini Super Red Ooze, and a Retro-Forged longbow, focus, and greatsword. New homestead decorations, including the Super Rapids Flowing Water and Super Rapids Plateau, have also been added.

We'll be partying up with some of our partners to play Super Adventure Festival. Tune into our Twitch channel[www.twitch.tv] at 12:00 p.m. Pacific Time (UTC-7) on April 17 to join the fun!

I tried reinstalling and messing with compatibility, but I am still getting an error when attempting to launch the game stating the exe file has an issue.

Rat Wrangler Guild Bounty - HOw does it work?

It's not explained anywhere. This one makes no sense whatsoever. What do I do to find it? "U kick rats"....what does that mean though like wtf. Do I have to go to the rat that the rat that is shooed runs towards? WHat if there is no rat in the direction it runs? What if the direction is off slightly? What if it's half a map away? Or Do I just click each and every rat on the map? I can't do that, it takes too much time, and when I do actually do it it I never find the bounty. And what do I do when the ra...

everything else sucks or is unplayable wow sucks. eso sucks. New world is dead. runescape is meh. AOC was a scam. not many options other than GW2.

When does this game become challenging? (New Player/Leveling)

New player and at 75, closing in on 80. I have heard a lot of great things about the game but the leveling experience has been very tedious and boring (from a challenge perspective). I have really enjoyed exploration, but only remember a couple fights total in which I wasn't on auto pilot. Wondering if the DLC gets more challenging and exciting or is this just the design of the game?...

I like the game, but I hate the requirement to engage in game modes I don't really care for just to earn rewards that are useful in the game modes I actually do enjoy. The heavy reliance on wikis to complete achievements, collections, and even basic tasks like acquiring items or mounts makes the game feel like a chore or a checklist more so than a game I like playing. While the horizontal progression and reasonably good economy make this somewhat of a moot point—since you can technically ignore it and still have a viable character—you still end up missing out on crucial convenience items when omitting them. Additionally, the constant necessity for other people even for easy content is frustrating, and the achievements required for masteries are unnecessarily hard and boring to complete.

11k+ hours on the game, mainly in wvw and pvp (i dont play it on steam but thought i'd leave a review here). it's literally the best game combat wise ive ever played, hands down. better than deadlock, better than marvel rivals.
Why? cuz it's given me dopamine loops like no other game has. Now when I play deadlock... not enough abilities. 4 isn't enough. When i play rivals, same thing plus no dodge rolling. When i play smite, same complaint as Rivals. When I play stadium in OW i think "wtf am i doing with my life" and go back to gw2 pvp. Wow style mmos... timing mini rhythm games that look like massive excel spread sheets. Animations are too limited. Plus no dodge rolls. Bdo? pay to win, plus the combat is too finicky and twitchy. Maybe Eso can compete but i haven't tried it yet.
Basically the combat spoiled me, and i can't enjoy any other action game now lol.

It's not for everyone though. You'll either fall in love or hate it it (or both). And i hate living world with a passion. The story is toothless and made by guild wars 1 fanfiction writers who have way too much sway over the company. If you truly want to experience the game (despite it technically being f2p), you really should have an expac. If for no other reason, just so you can experience a powercrept specialization in a class so you can see how fun combat can be.
You don't need to play any pve at all to enjoy pvp either, and don't need to gear up your toon in pve to play pvp which is massive. Every other mmo should be like this and basically none are.

This game is proof that if you just get the combat right and making it fun people like me will spend a literal 1 1/2 year of my actual life no lifing your ♥♥♥♥ and not regretting any of it. Even if all of that time was doing the same ♥♥♥♥ over and over. 9/10
