This is the mighty Stirling Single, built in 1870 for the GNR by Patrick Stirling.

These graceful machines could achieve high speeds (for their time) and were routed on the prestigious Flying Scotsman service for the Race to the North.

These engines also had good adhesion (for their time) and a surprising amount of power (for their time), though they would later be succeeded by the 4-4-2 Atlantics.

This mod contains 3 Stirling Singles, also known as the A1/A2/A3 class, before GNR built pacifics.

GNR A1: 1870 - 1884
GNR A2: 1884 - 1894
GNR A3: 1894 - 1916

it's missing the coupling hooks at both ends of the locomotive and tender.

Great model, thank you. Although a dome on Stirling Single feels somehow wrong, even if I know it is A3 version. :)

I remember playing with the first ever Stirling Single you made, back for TpF1.
Comparing that model with one is frankly almost impossible. You've come a long way Steve, congrats.

thanks i rebuilt my sub list for TpF2 and this dropped as i s about to play TpF2 once more this ill be a perfect edition to my victorian fleet of loco's
