What items did you have?

For some reason each time I enter a hostile room the unicorn jingle plays every time, and its getting kind of annoying, turning it off in mod config changes nothing

No? Config works, you can delete mod and resubscribe, that might help.
Maybe i don't get the point of the problem, but everything works as it should in rep+ or rep.
If you're about music starting all over from the start, there is just no ways around it without repentogon, because there is no separate jingle library, it just plays as a music file and then continious anything that was playing right before jingle triggered.
Mod might get an update with antibirth jingles btw, so if you can explain what exactly wrong little bit more clear, i will try to fix it

I'll check what's wrong, but i might need coding help to fix it

I believe it does, but i keep hearing the same one in the start so its annoying. perhaps update and add a config?? alright mod

Counting reasons to not pick this item is kinda pointless, because there wasn't even a single one reason to pick it up in the first place. I really don't remember last time this item actually helped me in the run
