IPNBID "Type 5 Expedient"

Shortly after the formation of the air arm of the Imperial Pydrinckian Navy, the IPNBID (Imperial Pydrinckian Navy Bureau of Inland Defense) was formed to counteract the threat of hostile airpower. While more permanent emplacements have since been constructed, their first task was the drafting of easily and most importantly rapidly constructible air defence. Employed both in the field as hasty cover and at home where time and resources do not permit more advanced alternatives, of the many plans drawn up only a few have remained in favour.

Intended to be dug into public parks and other open spaces, this model of defence is by far the swiftest to prepare. Though they see much field use, their primary purpose is to be put together as expedient coverage and command posts for cities coming under continued bombing; both as a deterrent in their own right and as a means of assisting allied fighter cover, their value is yet to be seen.
