After a rowing accident left the Throckmorton twins paralyzed, their father turned to the one place he thought he never would for help, their cousin Annabel Sinclair. Now the twins exist only has giant mutated floating brains in a twisted machine of madness and science. They have become obsessed with a dimension they call "The Mindscape" and aim to satiate a limitless hunger for knowledge.



Welcome to Cortex, a compact Player Destruction map set in a mad laboratory dungeon. Collect brains of your enemies in an attempt to satisfy the twins else risk losing your own to their madness.

Gotta love PD gamemode, this map looks very cool with the brains and the "underworld" (not sure what to call it) reminds me alot of Xen (not black mesa, rather more like the offical half-life 1 Xen). really cool map, bold choice to remove the crumpkins though I'm sure some people would enjoy that (random crits are bad enouth as it is), really good map and would love it to be added! :steamthumbsup:

I have to put aside my burning hatred for PD to say that this map seems pretty neat and well made

Really fun idea and cool design. Only critique so far would be that the acid near the spawns doesn't have water physics, so it looks weird to die and fall on the floor under the acid.
