i did something similar in divinity 2 with a necromancer mod
The final fight was hysterical. Usually, because there's just a lot of moderately strong enemies, you end up feeling overwhelmed and outnumbered. In this run, it was absolutely the other way around, my entire army of minions swept across the battlefield and swarmed the dragon, casters, clones - everything. I was able to just mostly ignore the fight on my actual characters and beeline toward opening the portal. About half of my minions died by the time everything was dead.
I wouldn't recommend buffing them like I did, if you ever try this. Long Rests take an hour or so to buff everything - it gets old quick. They also miss a lot as you approach the end of the game, so they don't feel super great individually.
must be evry op, or do they die quickly
Gale also has the special Moonlantern you can get with him in Balthazar's lab at Moonrise that allows him to summon a Shadow. Tav permanently learned the ability to summon a Deva from a unique spell scroll in a hidden room of the Sorcerous Sundries' basement.
