Ace Combat 5: The Unsung War

描述
All 32 Missions Recreated with all accurate Enemies, Voice lines, and Objectives.

This is a story heavy Campaign. Strongly recommended to listen to Voice-lines and Music for Instructions and knowing what to do! Having your own music or muting Comm Volume will diminish your experience!

DLC
The T-55 will be needed if playing co-op as there is only 1 slot defaulted to not using the T-55 in the first 10 Missions, but will not be needed after that point due to the Alt Spawn system.



Audio
Music is tied to the BGM Volume
SETTINGS -> AUDIO -> BGM Volume.
Voices/Comms are part of your aircraft.
T-55 VOL Control is at the back right behind the Brake Lock.
F/A-26B VOL Control is at the back right behind the Brake Lock.
AV-42C VOL Control is at the back right behind the Brake Lock.
EF-24 VOL Control is above the Panoramic Display.



Fuel
Take Minimum Fuel as there is no Fuel drain.
-Gameplay is directly designed with this in mind.



Ammo
You have Infinite Ammo and Flares.
-Spam everything as necessary.



Loadouts
Select a Loadout by using the Alt Spawn System next to your profile Icon when picking a Slot.
-New Aircraft and Loadouts are unlocked throughout the Campaign.
-Alt Spawns with no Equipment Assignments as FREEPLAY Options.
>Meant to be played after clearing the Campaign with the intended Loadouts.



Wingmen
Playing Solo will spawn 3 AI Wingmen to assist you
-They only have Air-to-Air Missiles.
-Shoot one down within 15 seconds of Mission Start to remove all 3, afterwards they become invincible.
-Theoretically they can finish an entire mission by themselves.

Q&A
Q: I don't know whats going on and am confused and what to do!
A: You probably have the Voice-lines muted or aren't listening to what the characters are saying, the Objective Screen also has the Mission Objective shown if your lost.
Q: Why is everything explained when something has any kind of mechanic?
A: Keep It Simple, Stupid. I tried to make everything explained as much as possible so any VTOL VR Player can enjoy my content, with the side-effect of over explanation for some missions.
Q: This is awfully similar to Chasaroonie's AC04 Campaign?
A: It's purposely made that way to have similar gameplay so that people who just want to play VTOL for VR Ace Combat are able to play the multiple AC games without feeling like they were too different from each other.
Q: The Maps seem way bigger compared to their original counterparts.
A: Every Map was made by hand looking at reference images to create them therefore the sizing do get much bigger when comparing the two, It was also a gameplay decision to make them bigger anyway due to VTOL VR's much slower/realistic gameplay compared to Ace Combats fast-paced and arcade playstyle.
Q: Any plans to recreate other AC Campaigns?
A: I have no plans for other ACs, I experimented with making AC6s Missions like Bartolomeo Fortress and Chandelier, but don't believe in VTOL VRs ability to run a majority of the missions smoothly with the high number of Units on screen.



Current Project "Elegy for Her Strelitzia"
Right now I'm in the story and world building phase of my next Original Story Campaign, it takes heavy inspiration from the Anime/Light Novel of 86 -Eighty Six- and other franchises including Ace Combat, Armored Core, and Rebuild of Evengelion. It'll be the accumulation of everything I've learned building VTOL Missions and Maps and will be my most ambitious project to date.

This is easily the best campaign I've ever played for VTOLVR. I still have 0 idea how the author managed to pull off some of the stuff in this mod. Fantastic work!

@Ozzi guy there's 4 bunkers towards the front of the SOLG that you need to destroy, you'll need to shoot them from different angles with the AGMs.

@Sancer make sure you selected Multiplayer Campaigns, It might've also not finished downloading before you launched VTOL VR and looked for it. Definitely more of a tech-support question to ask on the official Discord Server.

I tried to have no Radar Missiles except for a couple instances and alot of SAMs are quite easy to flare since you have unlimited amounts

Also I'm really loving this campaign mod so far! It's incredibly well-made. I've been researching for a while now how to "play AC5 in VR via emulation", but this is a much better option ngl lmao.

This is also a lot easier than the AC04 campaign mod, which I greatly appreciate. I keep getting shredded in that.

@SpartanChief17C it's roughly 2-3 seconds after Nagase says "5,4,3,2,1... Now!" afterwards fails the mission if each subsequent Radar isn't destroyed. I however see playing with friends might make it hard to hear or know when to fire, so I made some slight tweaks to make it more readable.

-Added a Pop-up Message whenever you're meant to destroy each Radar Site
-Increased time before Radar Site Failure by 1 second

Out of curiosity, how precise is the timing supposed to be in the Four Horsemen mission? I tried playing it last night with some friends, and it just ended in a clusterfck lmao
