Steam 2004 Derma Skin

描述
Customizable Derma skin based on the Steam UI from 2003-2004 and GoldSrc (GoldSource) GUI
UI Skin Manager is completely optional for customization, works without it.

Features
  • Customizable with maks's fork of UI Skin Manager, UI Skin Manager (alpha bug)
  • Segmented progressbar
  • Resizable indicator on bottom right side of the Frame
  • Less texture functions used (minor performance improvement??)
  • May break with addons that uses gwentexture functions assigned in SKIN table, instead of paint functions.

Additional features that can be toggled on with UI Skin Manager [1]
  • Blur background (little performance impact, depending on the hardware)
  • Toggleable titlebar icon (blackmesa icon is included)
  • 2 variants for progressbar (classic, flat)
  • 2 variants for resizable indicator (they are included in materials/skinexclusive, view it yourself with Crowbar)
  • and more things that I might've missed it out

[1] You can customize the skin without UI Skin Manager by extracting the addon to local addons folder, modifying the values inside lua/skins/steamgreen.lua script.

If text colors appear as black or wrong color, reload the spawnmenu with spawnmenu_reload command in the console ([`] or [~] key). This only works on specific labels, meaning the labels that was manually colored by addons (not using :SetDark() & :SetBright()) will stay same as before.

There was a toolgun screen reskin that made it also look like this but i cannot for the life of me find it again, Steam's workshop search system is fucking terrible.

Can someone link it for me if they have it? i wanna pair it with this.

The older and more detailed (non-metro) UI styles really were better imho, beyond looking better they seem so much more readable. I find it easier to navigate the tools and options menus with this mod installed

I wish that grey preset seen in the screenshots was available for download. Trying to customize it manually with the UI Skin Manager, but it doesn't seem to affect Pac3, or other mods that read the file itself.
