You can use it without mods but its definitely not gonna look or remotely function as intended, i tend to build my ships with as little mods as possible to get the desired results.
Yeah i'm currently working on simplifying some of the controls and fixing issues, a massive update to both this world and its blueprint counterpart are underway.
To turn on the power you can either press the button under the cockpit, or press 1 on toolbar number 3. To unlock the landing gear you have to press 3 on toolbar 3 This is due to the gears not being on the same grid as the cockpit, an issue i have fixed for the upcoming update.
I suppose i should have written a manual, haha.

To unlock the landing gear you have to press 3 on TB3 and 2 to retract the landing gear. This is due to the gears not being on the same grid as the cockpit, this is a drawback of using pistons or rotors.
Hopefuly in the near future we will be able to create macros, working in tandem with timers to cut back the number of buttons required to operate a ship this complex.
