描述
This addon contains 65 modular city street props suitable for use in building, scene crafting, RP or even mapping if you unpack the GMA file.

Features:
- Skins for both concrete and cobblestone streets with slight variations to both types.
- Several different types of connectors
- 2 primary sizes with several lengths
- Great swapability
- Detailed realistic geometry (such as slopes down into the gutters)
- Extremely accurate collisions
- Models fit to the hammer grid perfectly if used for mapping
- Highway pieces!
- NEW! Full compatibility with the Track Assembly Tool thanks to its creators hard work!

I initially intended to make this in order to help myself and other mappers make nice looking roads but thought it could be fun to use it in gmod sandbox too.

You don't need to give me credit for making these if you use it in your map, while I did spend a very long time getting the brush work and texturing just right with propper these are made with valve assets. All I ask is that you share your map with me and share this addon with any fellow mappers you think could benefit from them!

Known Issues:
- Some maps produce weird minor lighting artifacts on the props that I can't quite determine the source of. gm_flatgrass is one of them. It may be related to reflections and specular maps. A temporary but effective solution if you don't need fancy reflections during use is to enter "mat_specular 0" into console.

Things to do:
- Add body groups to a large portion of the props that add minor physical details such as fire hydrants, man hole covers, drains, mail boxes, and etc.
- Fix specular map issue
- Make separate prop pack with new skins!

Actually I have been working on curved slopes of this very style of road. I might actually convert these into props. But it took me like 5 hours to figure it out. If I can do it quicker then yeah

Do you have any plans to add curved slopes? I noticed that all track assembly addons that have roads literally have 0 curved slopes

I have been planning on making an update to this addon. Especially since I have learned how to actually 3D Model since then and can finally add body groups and other things potentially. Thanks for the suggestions!

Having a smooth 90 degree street turn piece with no crosswalks and a lane divider would be nice, as the current street turn pieces are pretty sharp and look weird without the center line. Maybe also have the gutter slopes be a bit less pronounced as when driving on the 512 unit wide roads most cars will noticeably lean. Otherwise, great addon and I have been looking for something like this for a while.

If you are not using the tool gun tool that may be why

I'll take a look next time on, but although they select and change size - they do not actually appear. In the models tab, they spawn just fine and can be laid as tracks, albeit, without the highway. It might just be a problem with me spawning them directly on the ground.

@rotanev could you go a little more in depth into the problem? Might be able to get Trick or treat to take a look if we have more details

The "highway" props don't work for me in the track editor.

Yeah, My packs were intended for sandbox play rather than mapping, though I have seen my buildings used in maps which is freaking awesome! I'm glad I inadvertently inspired you to create your own! and I bet your next pack will look pretty awesome too!

Yes! I saw yours but they didn't quite fit my purposes for mapping. I'm so glad you like them! I might actually make a much higher fidelity one in the near future now that I have learned 3DSMax
