Find A Scholar

描述
This mod adds a decision which will allow you to invite a scholar to your court in your realm.

-> 20-40 learning skill (other traits and modifiers can still affect this)

-> Age between 25 - 50

-> Can be any gender

-> Has "Scholar" and "Mastermind Philosopher" traits.

-> Culture and faith of the character depends on your domain. For example, if you are Norwegian-Asatru and you have Anglo-saxon culture with Catholic faith in your counties, there is a possibility that the scholar you invite will be an Anglo-saxon and Catholic. (Every combination is possible such as Anglo-Saxon + Asatru as soon as you have all these cultures and faiths.)

-Will have a dynasty with level of "Noteworthy" since logically they should be known among people in where they live (like; city, village) through your realm.

NOTE: This is my first mod ever so I wanted to make something easy and evaluate myself at first. I know this is not something that adds new challenging mechanics or flavor to the game. Feel free to share your ideas and suggestions. If you encounter with any bugs, let me know. Have fun.

Can I ask if you could update another mod... It has been abandoned and in need of someone with even basic skills to update it and take it on. The Mod in question is this mod;

The above link is to the 'Joan / Jeanne / Jean d'Arc Mod' Its a simple Mod that creates a decision called 'Listen to the Peasants' once clicked it would immediately trigger an event called 'The Maid' This event is essentially Joan d'Arc's Introduction to the game... Anything you can do would mean alot to us the current 5.5k SUBSCRIBERS :steamthumbsup:

@alegdansk Thank you for your comment. It would make it more reliable and realistic, I agree with you on gender. But I just wanted to do like that. :)

@shay Thank you for your comment. Actually, I didn't confuse them and know what they mean. I just wanted to add a role-play aspect to it. Player can arrange marriage, let them have an important role in the court for centuries. Like "this person is the 4th generation of this famous and important scholar who served for the ruler in "those" years and his/her descendant have been serving the court and realm for centuries." If I only made them prestigious as lowborns, it would make me feel less satisfied with it. So it is all about simple role playing for player, nothing more. At least while I was making the mod, this is the aspect I thought. I even thought about giving this decision a cooldown of 20-30 years to make it more important for player but I just don't want to make people bored of this mod. So it all depends on the player that what and how they will do things while playing.

Shay is right 👍
The idea is good, but I think gender should be only male 😉

I think you confuse prestige and renown. Prestige is about personal fame, so famous scholar should have a high prestige level. Renown is about dynasty renown, so famous dynasty would have high renown. Scholars in Middle Ages were usually lowborn, especially in Europe (differently in the Middle East), and often people of the church. Lords, on the other hand, were often illiterate. So famous scholar should not be from famous dynasty, or maybe even should not belong to any dynasty at all.
