Caladon Fighter Tender

"Developed as a highly adaptable and cheap platform to fulfill a variety of roles within the APF Fleet the Caladon makes up a majority of the logistical backbone of the APF. Caladon class vessels fulfill many roles such as convoy escort, planetary defense, patrol, fighter tending, cargo transport, and more. Similar to the older mink class vessels the Caladon lacks a jump drive and relies on other ships for long range transport. It is specially designed to work alongside modern APF support cruisers for these longer range operations. While many versions include weapons the Caladon is not intended for front line combat, acting more as a cheap escort or guard vessel for logistical assets.

The fighter tender variant is designed to help transit fighters between deployments. Serving as a mobile 1 fighter refueling pad and rest stop. Due to the longer range nature of this mission fighter tenders often are deployed in groups in rotating shifts, with a new tender relieving the old one every so often."
