Stram's Cooking and Survival

描述
Stram's Cooking and Survival is a mod that focuses on revamping Terraria's food system. Enemies no longer drop seemingly random food items and all old recipes for crafting food are now gone. Find crops and fruit trees in the wild and bring them back home and begin your farm. Harvest your crops when they're fully grown and process their ingredients to create delicious meals. Cook classic Terraria meals, or one of over 50 new food items. Create fully working kitchens with 11 new furniture pieces, all with utility functions.

The Well Fed buff has been split into different food groups. Make sure to eat a balanced meal with Dairy, Fruit, Grain, Protein, Sugars, and Vegetables! Consuming dairy will give you the defense from well fed, fruit provides melee and mining speed, grain provides bonus life regeneration, protein increases your damage, sugars increase your movement speed, and vegetables increase your critical strike chance and minion knockback. Keep eating, or else you might starve! The mod also adds a hunger and thirst system. As time passes or you perform strenous activities (such as mining, running, flying, etc), you will begin to get hungry. Some biomes can influence your hunger and thirst too, don't stay in the desert too long!

Be on the lookout for the next update, which will feature livestock and a body temperature system. And thanks to DylanDoe21 for helping me with the code for custom trees!

@[TTV] Tanis41493 I don't have a github, but you are welcome to extract the code from the mod. Beware some spaghetti, one big thing in the next update is im going to be fixing a lot of spaghetti code. But sure, you can do that if you want.

Hey, me again, sorry to bother you lol. I've been thinking about it, and I could probably make a compatibility patch or two if you'd be ok with that. I'd even be willing to take requests from you to take some stuff off your plate or others. I really like the mod, so I just wanna help out and try to universalize it as much as possible with other mods that add food. If you're ok with it, what would I have to do to ensure the food is compatible? I have C# knowledge so I'm not asking for a tutorial or anything, just come classes or context I could use without having to ask to fork your repo or something (since the fact that I don't see a GitHub link here that you've chosen not to go open source, which I 100% respect).

If you're not cool/comfortable with it, no worries! I still look forward to anything you have planned in the future ^-^

@[TTV] Tanis41493 Most likely would require a compatibility patch. The next major update is gonna be a big one though, and while it is quite a ways off, I may be able to add smart detection to the mod going forward.

Love the mod so far, well done! Do you happen to know if this mod would detect food from other mods? I'm looking into downloading Prisma's Fish Rarities and it adds a cooking system with new foods, but I'm curious as to whether your mod has any kind of smart detection or if there would need to be specific compatibility patches created?

i didnt think something like this excist, very happy, i loved the farming in stardew valley and minecraft so im happy this is a mod

@𝚊 Thanks for the comment. I currently am working on an update for Stram's Classes, one of my other mods. It is in the final phases of development (balance tweaking > trailer > release). Once that is finished, there will be a small break, then I will start development on the next update for this mod. There most likely will be a quick hotfix update for the Luiafk fix (as many people have reported it). Despite how I feel that the "QoL" that that mod adds isn't really qol, many people use it and it is currently the highest priority bug to fix for this mod. I can't give a concrete date as there really is no telling exactly how long the last phase of development for Stram's Classes will take and then making the fix, but I will say it is likely to release before next year. Mod looks kickass, is there any kind of ETA on when the update is coming out?

Only reason I'm super curious is it has the fix for this mod interacting with LuiAFK Reborn, since otherwise trying to enable both results in a mod error and results in you being unable to use the two together.

Luiafk adds too much QoL for me to ignore, but I desperately want a hunger system in Terraria, this mod looks perfect for that.
