描述
The 7000 Series (7000形) is a commuter EMU operated by Nagoya Municipal Subway since 2003.

Entering service with the subway Kamiiida Line's opening, the 7000 series is a hybrid suburban/subway train similar to Tsurumai Line vehicles. The Kamiiida Line is a de-facto 1 station extension of the Meitetsu Komaki Line to allow for a convenient connection to Nagoya Subway's Meijo Line. Prior to it's opening, the Komaki Line's southern terminus at Kamiiida Station did not have any rail connections towards Nagoya's city center, which forced commuters to transfer onto busses or walk 10 minutes to Heian-dori Station on the Meijo Line. Therefore, the 7000 series was built to the same technical standards as the Meitetsu 300 series produced at around the same time, although the exterior appearance is more reminiscent of the 3050 series on the Tsurumai Line. A semi-cross seating arrangement alike to Meitetsu vehicles was installed, whereas all other Nagoya Subway types have long seating. Only 8 cars in 2 sets of 4 were manufactured in the 7000 series, as due to the short length of the Kamiida Line compared to the Komaki Line, Meitetsu would be responsible for acquiring the majority of vehicles. Both operations and maintenance are also entrusted to Meitetsu, and all services on the Kamiiida Line are through services with the exception of the first down service and last up service.
