This mod is designed to work along with Zone of Control and A Bloody Mess.

Hotfix update
Woken Slinger removed from overwatch mod due to an error occurring with its weapon.

Welcome back an old strategy favorite.

Lock down important paths or try to unlock your opponents frontlines with a much more deadly battlefield.

This mod adds old time favorite overwatch similar to what you find in Xcom with all heroes and most of all monsters with range cababilities now able to lay down a overwatch.

Overwatch features

- All heroes wielding bows have the ability to lay down a cone shaped overwatch zone limited by all cover. Which means only areas that have full line of sight are affected.
- Heroes and monsters in overwatch mode will now display a little eye icon above them.
- Hunter Ambush ability now has a cone shape.
- All enemies with ranged attack abilities will now be able to either create a normal overwatch, a free overwatch or a large overwatch zone which should make movement more of a challenge in combat.
- Overwatch can be cancelled on enemies and heroes by dealing damage to them.


Planned features

- Making wands ranged magic
- Overwatch support for rifles, themes and wands
- Abilities that add more reaction shots per round.
- Making hunter ambush ability a common ability and available for anyone.
- Abilities that will dodge incoming reactions shots from overwatch.

It doesn't seem to work? Or am I using it the wrong way?

@Tengo I believe that the ambush ability should already confer +2 bonus damage?? I originally planned to include the ambush ability as a common ability but ran into some trouble since I did not have experience in editing abilities. I am pretty sure I upgraded the cone of the overwatch for the ambush ability too though. :-)

I also want to make a common ability that lets you do more overwatch shots. I am strapped for time at the moment unfortunately. :-/

Instead of making the hunter ambush ability a common ability for anyone to use, I would adore if you could make Ambush an ability worth taking. For example, giving +2 bonus damage on ranged reaction attacks via overwatch, or better accuracy on these reaction attacks
