ive extracted and modified the particles so that the gibs last longer, thanks for letting me know that the particle system exists!

quite nice automation system,

ive opened the particle editor, and know how to open files, but i cant seem to find the pcf associated with the addon. would i have to extract, and recompile the whole addon once ive changed the lifetime of the chunks?

I haven't used it in a bit, but I'll tell you, the editor's scarier than it really is. You just have to understand it. I practically self-taught, maybe I used the wiki (which is extremely unhelpful) a few times, but once you get past the UI hurdle, and what all the little terms mean (most of which you won't know what they mean, and changing the number doesn't even affect the particle so... yeah, who knows what some of those properties even do.)

The source engine does not do well with mass particle collisions. Even this mod as it is, if you set up a little NPC war, it can lag (harder, anyway) because of all the particles colliding with the ground. This is why those fancy blood mods run like shit. If you did want to edit this, look up the source particle editor on google and find out how to open it. Increasing the lifetime of the chunk particles will be self-explanatory once you understand the UI (which is no small feat.)

despawns too fast makes me wanna edit the addon but i dont know how
