History

The S-611 Greyhound is a transport class submarine crafted by WICK CORPORATION. Considered as one of the most iconic submarine class of the Corporation, the Greyhounds highlight the influence and integrity of WICK CORPORATION down in depths of Europa. While not adorned with cutting-edge technology, the Greyhound embodies reliability and adaptability. The Greyhounds usually move in groups of three to five in order to ensure the success of resupply runs in Europa's challenging aquatic terrain. This Greyhound, designated 2665-0611, has been selected to complete a critical mission for WICK CORPORATION : Operation Reclaimer.

Although we don’t have its exact location, we know that it headed straight to the center of Europa.

Hmm, I got an idea: Initial Desu already made a video on your sub, he knows a guy that has made a phenomenal elevator, and this is too cool of a concept. Maybe they'll be interested in having a crack at getting the monorail in top shape?

You could even add a lore mention of WICK Corp. getting contract work or a trade deal from the Coalition / the engineers that constructed the Malachite monorail to assist with WICK corp's Greyhound monorails.

Thank you for such an incredible design, and I hope to be able to take this 2Fort sub into The Eye of Europa one day.

@Chef Boyardee the biggest
différences between my monorail and the one made on the Malachite are :

- Initial Desu did make his monorail by himself and it was then fine-tuned by a very good logic builder. I wasn’t helped when I built it and Jove knows I’m not an expert in logic.

- The Malachite’s monorail is between a thick shell piece and a inside structure wall. I wanted my monorail to stay as « thin » as possible.

There is a sub with a stable monorail, the Malachite by InitialDesu. That monorail also comes with suit, oxygen, and cutter stored on it, to allow escaping it if you get stuck.

Idk what's different wiring and logic wise, but I hope this ship's unique concept isnt what's breaking the monorail.

@Chef Boyardee Hey, glad you like the sub ! It took me a lot of time when I made it a year and a half ago. If you look at the history of the comments here, the monorail has never been stable though I did try multiple fixes. The truth is, I don’t really have a lot of time nowadays to fix it since I have a full time job. If any of you find a fix for it feel free to dm me !
I will try looking at the waypoints this week-end :captainsinful:

Tl;dr: I absolutely love the concept of this sub, but it has the glaring issue of the monorail being completely borked outside of the sub editor. There is also issues with bot navigation, specifically when repairing leaks and devices or manning guns.



I tried doing a bandaid-fix by linking it to the right airlock instead of the left (works but still bricks if left on left side when docking) and by trying to have it linked to both airlocks.

Also, I don't know what was going on, but during my testing, the bots just could not navigate the sub to save their life. I had to jump between them to fix leaks and devices, and there are a few spots where they just get stuck (captain's observation room is one of them).

I would also suggest looking into the ship's waypoints and making sure the bots can access each room if the door is open, closed, or gets closed on them. They also struggled with fixing leaks and devices.

Trying to start a new campaign, and I'm having the same issue as Keres.

When starting a campaign mission, the lift either doesn’t move at all or stops halfway.
This only happens when leaving the first station and afterwards.

The console shows an error saying it can’t find an anchor point or doesn’t know what to connect the lift to.

@tyfett Thank you for this ! Indeed you have to buy pulse lasers on the empty hardpoints at an outpost for the ATS to work.
