描述

Main Menu, Safe House, Shop and Car Lot from Need For Speed: Most Wanted which is ported with enthusiasm to a source engine.

Please note that this addon is not affiliated with infmap-based NFSMW map by any means. This is a standalone maps which were recreated in Source Engine with all engine features.

Features:

LDR and HDR full support
Manually recreated menu interface (without any lua!), particle systems and camera angles
Original soundtrack ported directly from game files! (plus 2 secret songs)
Original ambient sounds from game
BMW reference car (can be turned off and replaced by your car)
Lots of physics props
Fixed culling for (almost) all models textures
Lots of improvements by me
Recreated particle systems to look like original
Mirror floor on all maps except car lot (can be turned off)
All original textures from NFSMW (Xbox 360 version)
2 unique secrets and 2-3 easter eggs for each map (except for car lot)

Enabling of MSAA and high shadows is highly recommended:

Due to Source Engine transparency sorting problems, some of the menu parts were using $allowalphatocoverage, which requires MSAA for proper work. High setting of shadows will make a good look of tv in garage.

Question: What you will port next?
Answer: Probably showrooms from NFS Carbon

Credits and facts:

Menu logic was made with hammer I/O, 0 lua were used!
Time spent: ~2 months (and 4 years of addon being frozen lol)
Original models and textures: EA Black Box
Ripping, extracting and porting audio and texture assets, modelling, texturing, mapping, compiling, coding, creating of UI, particles, optimizing, testing: GAnimator

Almost all models and textures rights belongs to Electronic Arts

I just figured out you're the same guy who's making the backrooms map I'm so exited for that has cutscenes somehow. and you do it all with map logic. you might genuinely be my favourite human being on the planet
