Academia de Comércio Epitácio Pessoa, Brazil

The Academia de Comércio Epitácio Pessoa is a historic building located in João Pessoa, the capital of the Brazilian state of Paraíba. Inaugurated in 1922, the building has been listed by the Paraíba State Historical and Artistic Heritage Institute (Iphaep) since December 2, 1998, due to its historical and cultural value. The building was renovated during the government of Rui Carneiro in 1940 and features features eclectic architecture and an imposing dome. Its windows and panels, with arched frames on the upper floor, feature Art Nouveau-style flags and frames.
