Puddle Jumper - Twin prop airplane

描述
A small plane perfect for your local commute.

Made using all nodes for the control systems. Unlike my other creations, this one is made with as few bells and whistles as I could manage.
Some light code is used for displaying stats to screen.


PDL-J01 CHECKLIST (The controls)

TAKEOFF
- Set throttle to 100 % (Up arrow)
- Set prop. pitch to 100% (Space/Ctrl)
- Release brakes (AUX 1)

CRUISE
- Climb to altitude (W/S)
- Reduce throttle if needed (Down arrow)
- Bank to heading (Q/E)
- Trim elevators (2/8) for level
flight

APPROACH
- Turn on landing lights (AUX 5)
- Reduce throttle (Down arrow)
- Use rudder if needed (A/S)

LANDING
- Steer to gate (A/D) (Tail wheel)
- Engage brakes (AUX 1)
- Kill throttle (AUX 0)

Updated after a game update to fix broken code. If you have integrated this into your own build, you can spawn this updated version separately and swap the disk into your build, or make the following change manually:

I found a flaw in my wiring. The small battery that runs the computer and nav computer wasn't charging from the main battery. I had to redo the wiring and remove the redundant charge port on one side of the plane. Since I had added some features to the plane since first published, it now sadly includes a couple more gadgets: the beacon finder and a visual vertical speed indicator. The controls code is still in nodes for easy inspection though.

If you already have one of these in service, just run a cable from the big battery to the small one hidden in the nose to keep it topped up.
