You can just move the mods in load order, I wouldn't suggest changing the ID manually.

Don't know if this has been reported, but mod id being "Gamenight_Battleship" for me was causing autosort to put "Game Night" and it above "errorMagnifier". Changing it to "gamenight_Battleship" soved the issue.

Just had a chance to test it again. I got the pieces to spawn but I had to quit and reload the save with the game stands placed.

Just changing inventory pages should be enough to reload.

Nothing inside the stands either after placing. When you say they may not fill correctly at first; like reloading the save or something like that or leaving the cell and returning?

Try placing the stands down. May not fill correctly at first due to a B42 bug.

To clarify: the pieces are inside the stands.

Both copies of battleship I found had the game stands but no pieces.
