The Basement

This seems impossible to beat. Tried to lock the beast in the basement, lock didn't work. Anytime I try to use the wheel, always comes in and kills me.

skill issue but I couldn't escape room in the image is too big to explore with everpresent monster i did find a dogtag but it was blank and everytime you die screen goes black and nothing happens forcing an exit to menu then starting all over which is just extra steps for another attempt

Thanks Repose, the first bug you mention was completely known when I uploaded, but I just could not figure out, through the model editor or otherwise, how to even make the item appear the right way up on inspection. The other ones though I'll just have to fix that in the coding.
The extra stalker though at the end is straight up just because I needed to give the player 2 bullets just in case they had to shoot the stalker before the lock, and I couldn't figure out how to change the bullet resistance in game. Same thing with the black screen to end, I didn't know how to change what happens on death, and I didn't want it that you die and just restart the map again.

part 2 of critiques, I'm not sure what to recommend in terms of an ending change that isn't just removing the monster and respawning it after you trigger the sequence to getting near the exit door and having the monster surprise come once you've walked past the exit door. Maybe expanding upon the exit segment in a way where you feel like you've safely escaped where there's no way you knowingly can expect him to get you now, and then when you do actually open the exit door and leave *boom*.

Either way, mildly enjoyable short mod. 6/10

I liked the use of the furnace and the puzzle involved for it, and the use of the hole in the wall you have to pry open before shooting, which requires you to ensure the monster is far away enough to pull off an escape . The ending to this was... Cliche and not well executed. The exit door that you reach at the end where the monster is supposed to appear behind, it was really finnicky to get it open. I saw the monster behind me coming for me from my gunshot earlier and then abruptly, at the exit door another appeared and it nonchalantly walked to the door from the other side and the game just went to black. I get the idea you were going for with this sort of ending, but the execution didn't make it well. Just sucked me out of the experience when that happened.

These are some bugs I found quickly the dogtag for the code to lock the basement is never labeled on the object another one is I noticed the beast can get stuck easily behind the door in the basement even if it's not locked yet. However, once you have him locked in the basement, once he escapes it, if he re-enters the room and I close the door shut behind him again, he can teleport back to the staircase (which got me killed trying to redirect him to the basement in an escape attempt) and in another attempt I lured him down to the door but soon as he came near the door he just teleported back up to the staircase before even locking it. another error also I found is he can get stuck trying to escape to a hole he can't reach that is behind the gate you have to open with the turn wheel when the gate is closed.

@LeekyTurtle, the note in the clothes basket shows that the owner was thrown into the furnace, what would the owner have?

How do you get out of the first room?
