LIM Anaconda | Heavy Destroyer

The Anaconda. Heavy Destroyer, interceptor, fleet defense - all of these integral roles and more are fulfilled by this interstellar hunter. Bolstering a dorsal tri-railgun turret for supreme offense and two ventral dual-gatling gun turrets for defense, this deep space predator excels at chasing down incurring fleets and serving as a deterrent when protecting outposts and starports.

The big sister of the Diamondback doesn't stop there, though. Capable of planetary landings, the retractable landing gear keep themselves safe during combat - allowing this vessel to land on lunar and planetary surfaces which greatly extends its range of capabilities and roles further beyond its predecessor. Adding onto this, the range has extended even further to allow for uncontested control of deep space operations while the power systems have been completely overhauled to fulfill the new energy requirements of its extended capabilities.

In addition to all of this, far more ion thrust was introduced to allow for conserving of hydrogen for long voyages, allowing it to function for straight sprints on only its electricity. Regardless of this addition, far more hydrogen fuel was still packed into the onboard compartments.

The only downside is the stripping of a kitchen and eating area, requiring the crew to sleep and operate in shifts running on only MRE's, allowing for far more systems to be packed into a slightly bigger package with a similar side profile. This change reflects the larger emphasis on fleet deployments and militaristic sorties, instead of the mere militia patrolling the Diamondback was tasked with.
