Apprenticeship! (XP boosts with friends!)

描述
Are you sick and tired of the multiplayer grind being so ridiculously sluggish and grindy? Don't you think that if you banded together in a group, you'd be able to learn and teach each other skills at a much faster rate?

With the apprenticeship mod, you can do just that! Even with XP gain set to it's default, the grind is greatly improved! When learning skills together, players gain almost double the XP than alone! This is a great way to speed things up, while still keeping things vanilla+ and immersive. We also have 5 new traits to balance this mod out for those who want to take advantage of the character creation system. You can be a Professor, or be an unteachable Dunce! The choice is yours.

Even better, if you don't like our default settings, there's a whole sandbox menu with every value and skill rate fully customizable, so that you can tailor our mod to your particular server's experience.

Add it to your server and try it now!!

Spotted a case of "Linux Things". So Linux is case sensitive when it comes to file names and paths etc, and as such it's not recognising any of the translation files because they're located in the folder "translate/EN" instead of "Translate/EN".

As of the current version, the values you set into each trait parameter are the value which 1 is *divided by.* This means that higher numbers will yield lower XP learnt and lower numbers will yield higher XP learnt. By default with no traits, XP learnt is one divided by *5* (The base sandbox value, 5, is what 1 is being divided by. In fraction form it would be 1/5.) If you increase that value to, say, 7, that means that 1 is now divided by 7, which yields a lower XP learnt.

It is likely this will be redone with multipliers across the board in the future such as to bring consistency among sandbox values and ease to the end-user. :spiffo:

so, when I use the settings, if I set the numbers lower, I somehow give more xp to my friend or how does it work? and what do the traits do exactly?

true will never use a mod with AI art not because I care about art but because it's cringe/low effort/tacky

really good not to see weird AI art for the thumbnail, I wish you many downloads :o

I saw this idea was suggested by someone a while ago. Was gonna add it to my list of mod ideas but it seemed too complex for me. Glad someone made it :)

Works fine on my dedicated MP server now, but a few adjustments would be great:

- Add support for modded skills (e.g., Woodcutting, Albion’s Literacy).
- Add an option to configure how often the XP text appears, similar to Show XP.
- Tone down the green text a lil' bit, or make it match Show XP for consistency.
- Streamline the sandbox setting options,it's kinda cluttered & overwhelm.

Feedback taken, the post-it note doodle is staying (At least a bit longer ;])

I've added a trait display card and a gameplay screenshot to our page so that people can hopefully get an easier idea of the purpose of our mod at a glance. :spiffo:
